The instructor provided many real-life situations to impart the information and shared several guidelines for improving the skills of supervisors.  The course was very relevant to my own job responsibilities and needs.  I particularly liked the mentoring process he discussed.  Although I do not have a candidate for mentoring, I definitely will be cross-training others in some aspects of my role to ensure continuity in the event of my absence.  The instructor’s style was interactive, friendly and respectful.  You could tell he wants us to benefit from the program.  I definitely would recommend this course to others.

The course was very informative, the literature was clear, and the presenter was very thorough.  There are a number of skills and techniques I can implement immediately.  For example, keeping an incident diary, establishing cross-training within my groups, and finding ways to empower and motivate my direct reports.  His explanations and visual aids helped put everything in the proper perspective for me.  I also liked the presenter’s style. He explained the topics very well and used real-life examples to which I can identify.
